I’m joining the Classics Club today, 6th of September 2019. My goal is to read 50 classics within 5 years, so by 6th September 2024.
Here is the list of books that I have selected, listed in the order that I want to read them. I might make changes as I go along. I selected books that I have heard of before, a few that I have read and others that look interesting, based on the title.
Most of these books are available for free online. Watch out for my progress updates as I move along.
I will post my reviews here and on the classics book club blog.

Welcome to the Club! Hope you enjoy being a member as much as I do. 😀 Great list! I’m especially thrilled to see King Solomon’s Mines on there – a lifelong favourite. And Treasure Island too! I’m intrigued that you’ve got Marriage on your list – I read it a few months ago and don’t think I’ve ever seen it on anyone else’s list, or read any reviews of it. I’ll be interested to hear what you think of it…

Welcome to the club! I just joined as well, and am loving reading other people’s lists. Which book are you most looking forward to reading? And which one is the most daunting?

Thanks! I tried to pick carefully, but as there are so many authors I have never read before, I’m hoping I picked well. I love Jane Austen and can’t wait to read all her books!

They look good! I think I need to add some of them to mine. Like “The Color Purple: is one I forgot to add but I’ve been meaning to read.
